Hello Friends!!Well, another year, another MS Walk.
This year, I don't have any really cool tiki mugs to try to sell
(thanks again Squid, Tiki Farm and Queequegs!!).
I just have a sob story to tell about why you should donate to the MS
Walk (or join my team this year).
Just recently, my awesome wife Traci has experienced some of her
worst symptoms of MS yet. She is having trouble walking, writing, just
doing day to day tasks that I take for granted. This really sucks. I
hope it doesn't get any worse, but we will persevere if it does.
The good thing is that the MS Society has been advocating for and
directly funding research that may lead to some real improvements in
treatment for MS. Trials on a pill for MS are happening. That would be a
major shift! Traci is no fan of giving herself shots every other day.
So I want to help out the MS Society as they search for a cure and
better treatments for MS.
Please join me. I have donated $100 already. You can join the team
even if you don't live near us. You don't actually have to walk on the
date of the event - you just have to try to raise money!! If you do live
near us now that we are in Oregon, please join us for the walk in April.
And if you can't join the team, please just donate what you can.
Thanks so very much - and don't be surprised if you hear more from me
between now and the walk!!
Yours,
Jon
